Peter Beard turns 80

Escapist, diarist, adventurer, playboy, artist, activist , style icon,  I think I could go on with more descriptions and adjectives but today I would like to celebrate my polestars big birthday.  Peter self admittedly never worked a day in his life , lived outside societal norms and carved out an artists life and niche.  His work continues to go higher in value each year. A major inspiration in my life , his work inspired me to go to Africa twice and photograph the most amazing subject matter.  I have a commissioned piece Peter did for me in 2003 and its one of my most treasured pieces.   Long may he run.  Happy Birthday Peter !  This photo is credited to Peters daughter Zara Beard from the Montauk Moorlands.
