Who we are

Mark B. has been described by many as having a "singularly good eye" and curiosity for the interesting and the authentic. Tauk Collective is the digital home for that vision—a place where ten years of culture and design journalism meet a hand-picked, eclectic gallery of found goods.

"Tauk Collective is a constantly evolving archive of found objects and curated culture. We don’t believe in one price point or one category. Our gallery is an eclectic high-low mix, where a rare $15 paperback sits alongside a $5,000 archival find. We source what we love—from vintage vinyl and shoes to design-forward collectibles—all rooted in a decade of documenting the ‘Montauk Cool’ aesthetic."

"I’ve always loved the hunt. Whether it’s a Marlon Brando documentary, a Lang & Reed Cabernet Franc, or a pair of perfectly worn-in boots found at a garage sale—if it has a story and it catches my eye, I’m interested. I spent years writing about the intersection of design and soul, from the history of the Montauk fishing fleet to the 'grand old camps' of the Adirondacks. Tauk Collective is my way of sharing those stories and the objects I find along the way. It’s not just a boutique; it’s a collection of things that make life feel a bit more magical."

There is no filler here. Entries only appear when I encounter something truly worth sharing - the exact categories you see on our title page. Think of this as your “on the go” read for a life well-curated.
