Best of Enemies

I had the chance to  see the new documentary titled " Best of Enemies " which featured the polar opposite opinions and views of ultra conservative William F Buckley, Jr. and ultra liberal Gore Vidal.  Both of these men were brilliant  public intellectuals and highly skilled  debaters but certainly brought out the worst in each other in public and privately.  They debated on ABC TV in 1968 for a series of 10 debates on national TV and grew to loathe each other.!
